01. Jan's still here. We watched Die Spielwütigen yesterday and it reminded me how much I miss being on stage or just working in theater. I don't have the talent or ambitions to try for a career in acting, but it's been five years since I've last been in a play or even worked on one, and that sucks. I need to find a way to get back into the theater world - this is Berlin, it shouldn't be that hard.

03. I sent out a first job application yesterday. It's just a paper boy thing, but it would actually be kind of cool if I could get some variation that paid enough. Working at night, alone and in peace, with the added benefit of the workout I'd get with all the walking? Sounds good to me. Anyway, first try, but who knows.

I feel the same way about theatre. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in theatre in 2004 and haven't done much (read: anything) with it. I still see shows sometimes, but I miss working on stage/backstage. But I don't have the drive for it, and I don't take the rejection well. Plus, where I live, there are so many people who want to be involved and less opportunities that the pay = crap.
