Allow me a butch moment: Friends, beer and a good game of footie = great evening. :D Very nice game - fair, many chances, good defense from Costa Rica, great goals. Really enjoyed this one. *nod*
It's awesome for Klose to score two goals on his birthday - so cool! Happy for Lahm, too; he's adorable. And Fring's goal was fantastic. *cheers* The reaction of the German team could have been quicker, in general, but I think they know that and will work on it.
As for Costa Rica, says a lot that both their goals came from an offside (or an almost-offside), and that Germany had 347984 chances and "only" scored four of them - i.e. great defense, not much with the offense.
But yeah, enjoyable. *nodnod* Now for Poland-Ecuador. Keeping my fingers crossed for Poland, partly because I know loads of Polish people, partly because I'd like for them to make up for the embarassment of the Columbia game.
ETA: What a baaad, bad game. Boring, frustrating, and fucking embarassing for Poland. *yawns*
