Your daily dose of OMG!

So, I was taking a break from (so far fruitlessly) browsing job offers and reading OTF Wank, where they were talking about some post about spiders and then went off on a tangent about centipedes and someone posted a link to a video of a giant centipede eating a mouse. Everyone was squicked out.

Me? I went "OMG So awesome! Ok, I feel sorry for the mouse, but that's nature for you, and OMG GIANT CENTIPEDE SO COOL I WANT ONE!! ♥ ♥ ♥" I think they shall now be my third-favourite insect-ish thing, right behind spiders* and praying mantis...ses? And stick insects. Ok, my fourth-favourite. Insects are love.

If you don't mind big crawly things, watch the video here. BEWARE: It's one fucking huge centipede, and one cute, terrified, poor little mousie. If you're not sure you can take that, better don't click. But the centipede is so, so pretty.

*Yes, I know that a spider is not an insect.

;)) Oh, I like koalas and wallabies, too. Every animal and insect that doesn't bite me, sting me or contaminate my food is a friend of mine. ♥

*shakes head* I told you not to look if you're squeamish! ;-p

(Don't worry, the weird insects will all be at my place, happy to have found someone who loves them. :)) )

Okay, I love you, but I'm not touching that vid. :D I think I would have nightmares for weeks. :S

*is not a insect person*

;)) If you're not an insect person, not touching the vid is a wise decision.

That is so. Fucking. Cool. DUDE.

I didn't even know there WERE centipedes that huge. That's amazing. Ahaha. It's so cool-looking

Me, I've always wanted a boa constrictor. THEY'RE SO CUTE! And they feel so cool, all soft and warm, and you can feel their muscles contracting under the surface. I love snakes. ^__^ But in the past I've always had pet cats, so I'd be nervous to have a boa hanging around. And I wouldn't want to have it ALWAYS locked up in its tank... I'd want to be able to let it out sometimes. ONE OF THESE DAYS. When I have my own snake-safe apartment, and no cats. And also when I have enough money to keep the thing fed. Heehee.

Me neither! When they were talking about a centipede eating a mouse I was all "Yeah, sure, I bet that was a manip" and then they posted the video and it's so BIG and PRETTY!

Snakes are totally awesome! (Should you ever get one, make sure your neighbours are ok with it (or don't tell them *lol*) A neighbour of my aunt's had snakes (not even boas or anything, just some smaller ones) and she and some others freaked so much that he gave them away. *facepalm*)

that squicked me out just from reading your description. No way I'm clicking on that link, ever.
