Same here! I always loved "Bad Moon Rising". Really. - Okay, I still like it but everytime it begins I'm getting all "Uh oh. Not good."
I was shocked for the rest of the evening after watching it. First I wasn't able to speak anymore and then I just sat there and it came to my mind and gladly I was with someone who just watched it as well and we could suffer together. :p
Oh..hon..hugs you tight..I remember sitting with my mouth open for a good five mins staring at the screen after it finished. And when I got over the shock I decided I loved the ending..loved the whole episode with a passion. Lost count how many times I've re-watched it ... Jensen just blew my mind in that one *g*
you know, when I saw 'bad moon rising' on your mp3 player i really had to bite my tongue. especially when you said you liked the song. *hugs lots and lots* *waits for september with you*
You know, I was looking up the music, because damn, I'm feeling Dean's taste, a lot, and someone spoiled me for the ending. There were many moonds during which I wouldn't have cared, and in fact, merrily read other people's SPN squee when I felt like it, so I'm probably spoiled for several things and just don't remember it. BUT WHY NOW.
Anyway. I know what you mean! Maybe. What I mean is, the song is so far from sounding sinister or ominous or what have you: it's is a thrilling contrast with the lyrics, and there's aural whatchamacallit, shock, dissonance (really, I have heard the term but I'm too lazy to look it up), and then add that ending--skldajföasdjfkaöskdf!
On the other hand, I'm just wrapping up ep seven, and I know I have all these great eps I've heard about to look forward to, and I just want to sit here and go 'mmmmm' a lot. Like, somewhere in there I've learned to save some of the good thing for the next day! Jesus. Must be growing up.
Icons. Must start capping these eps so I'll have icons. Maybe.
