Sandra: [Walks to door, opens it, sees random lady with little kid in her arms standing outside.]
Lady: "Hi!" *[Holds up little girl. Gives me an expectant look.]
Sandra: "..." [Blinks. Waits for... some kind of explanation.]
Lady: "This isn't yours?"
Sandra: "... No."
Lady: "... Oh. Ok then." [Turns around and rings bell next door.]
Sandra: [Closes door.] "Well, that was random."

Imagine a small production of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". Now imagine it in a tiny little church (a real one, with tower and vaults and everything), played to an audience of maybe 50 people, roughly 60% of which were old ladies. (The remaining 40 percent, except for

kaoru_is_here and myself, seemed to consist of the church's youth group.) It was one of the most WTF-inducing evenings of my life.

Yes, I heard "Highway to Hell" performed in church, with the elderly ladies of the church choir as backup vocals. I never thought I would one day be able to say this.

Ok, I wasn't going to post about this until I actually had the tickets in my hand, but after hearing the newest news I'm just so full of squee that I can't not post:

FALL OUT BOY. THE ACADEMY IS... COBRA STARSHIP. In Cologne in August. And because I have the very best

braintwin in the whole world, I got tickets.

And who joined the line-up today? PANIC! AT THE FUCKING DISCO.

I DON'T EVEN HAVE WORDS. MY DAY IS SO VERY VERY MADE.

ETA: And Gym Class Heroes, too?! I don't even have words. No idea how they're going to fit that into one night, and I'm almost worried that they'll, like, make people who already bought tickets for just FOB/TAI/CS pay more on the evening or something. I don't think they can or will, but this is just too good to be true.

Yeah, it was too good to be true. Panics! site was just edited to say that they're only doing the Decaydance Fest in Paris, not the one in Cologne. Damn it.
