Looks like I still have a chance at getting the barista job! *dances* I had given up on it, since they said they'd call mid-last-week (and I kept putting off forgetting to call them), but I just got a call and they said I did really well with the try-out and invited me back for an interview with the manager (who had been away when I was there) next Tuesday. Keep all fingers crossed for me, please? Because I really, really want this job.

Anyway, I finally remembered to listen to the new(-ish) Mountain Goats album, and I really like it. Quick song-by-song thoughts:

Posted a bunch of new footie icons (mostly really simple ones/bases) here. LESS THAN ONE DAY! *bounces* Yes, I am excited, just in case you hadn't noticed already.

This interview is both awesome (because Jon Stewart pwns that guy) and terrifying (because Bill Bennett's views on gay marriage are so completely DUMB and yet you know that he - and so many others - won't be convinced even by logic *sigh*)

I'm making 2x22 icons currently, and... well, this just had to be done. ( Majorly spoilery icon )

I wanted to make Angel (the Series) icons - but all the caps I found were bad quality or too dark to work with. Then I thought I'd make some more DW ones - but my muses refused to collaborate. So I picked a random pic of Christina Ricci that I had on my harddrive and signed up for 10variations again, because it's a nice quick challenge for getting back into the swing of iconizing. Bonus: I re-did my "What Would Freud Say?" icon, because the old one made me cringe (as do most of my older icons *lol*) but I wanted to have one. Feel free to take, if you want:



(Just for the record: While I agree on some of his theories and his books can be an interesting read, I'm not a big fan of Freud. "WWFS?" is more like a running gag amongst my friends. (And the correct answer, of course, would be: "Penis envy, hysteria, castration anxiety, Oedipus."))

Here are the icons for the interest meme. :) I ended up making only one for each person, because while my creativity is high at the moment, my picture-finding-skills seem to be rather low. :| I'm sorry!

There is a nice new icon challenge community that you should all go and join: 10variations. The goal is to make ten different icons out of one picture, with a few restrictions for each one. It's an interesting exercise in creativity.

I signed up today and, in a sudden fit of creativity, finished all the icons for this claim already. The pic they're all based on is this pretty one of Adrien Brody.
