Berlin Pride 2005 in pictures

Now that both Pride and our not-so-big meetup are officially over, here are the promised pictures and other impressions.
We began our meet-up (that turned out to be not so much pan-European as pan-Berlin...ean (?), with an addition of the absolutely adorable
novafairy and
luthien82 from Nürnberg) at the Bahnhof Zoo, where we all, well, met up...

(
nairie/Dana,
evil_trisha,
nora1980 and
dreamingkitty/Kate)
... and then went on to the Ku'damm to find a good place for watching the parade. We ended up on the green in the middle of the road:

(Dana, Nora, Trisha)

(
shivaluna, Kate)
As you can see, the weather was absolutely awesome at that time - very sunny and very warm. So when the parade started there was lots and lots of bare skin and the general mood was awesome. Everybody was smiling and partying and there were so many different people, from the old straight couple to the fetish guy who was completely encased in some sort of rubber (and made us wonder how the hell he survived the heat or even *breathed*). I loved it. :D And got really bouncy. *g* Also, people apparently really liked my "Sorry boys, I eat pussy" shirt and many women grinned and pointed or waved or gave me thumbs up. :D They threw sweets from some of the floats and one women actually waved me over on seeing my shirt and handed me a whole handful of lollipops and sweets. ;)) Then again, some others didn't quite get it - like that one guy: Some groups handed out condoms, and one of them had a pretty hot dancer on their float, whom I wanted to take a photo of while the others were busy "begging" for condoms. But one of the men on the float stared at me reprimandingly (you know, like "Hello? You don't want safer sex?") and pointedly threw me a condom (as soon as I finished my pic, which didn't turn out good because the dancer moved to fast). I just looked at him somewhat perplexedly and pointed at my shirt, while the woman standing next to him laughed her ass off. :))

Other impressions (mostly not-so-good pics, because they all moved too fast for my stupid camera):

This was a group reminding of the glbt victims of the Holocaust, under the motto "Geh Denken - Gay Denken" ("Go and think - Think Gay"). They carried a Pink Triangle and signs with photos of and infos about some famous victims. I got a small badge with their logo.
Leather Pride:

I was wondering if it's a bad sign that I can identify and explain leather and bear flags and diagnose without blushingtoo much that a guy with a very... uhm, well-used ass (he was wearing ass-free chaps) is "totally a fisting bottom"...

Some lesbian voter group. You might not guess from these pics, but there were actually some very hot girls at the parade. So my opinion of Berlin lesbians might have been revised a bit.

Even the police had their cars decorated with rainbow flags.

It took about 2 1/2 hours for the parade to pass before us (and might I add: those weren't even all the glbtq groups, Berlin also has an alternative, more political march), and during those the weather got steadily worse. But, with perfect timing, we were finished watching about 15 minutes before
novafairy and
luthien82 were supposed to arrive, and the rain and storm didn't start until we got to the station again.
However, it turned out that the girls were an hour late anyway, and so with that timing plus the weather we decided to cancel partying at the Siegessäule and instead hung around at Trisha's (where I creeped everyone out by being the only one to find this flash cartoon fascinatingly creepy and not disturbingly creepy) and then went out for cocktails.
Sunday we were joined by the lovely
teh_jules and spent our time brunching and lounging at the Dachkammer and in the park and then watching QaF 507 (SO SO SO MUCH (angsty) LOVE FOR THIS EPISODE!!!) and stuff, but that is a tale for another day. (Because I'm tired and want to begin catching up with all your posts.)
:D
But may I just say: Girls, you're all so very, very awesome and I had the most brilliant time! *loves*
ETA: (Yeah, still not in bed yet. Damn, you guys were productive those last days! :X) Head over to Nora's LJ for more (and better) pics!
ETA2: Or to Trisha's
