Icons - Christina Ricci

I wanted to make Angel (the Series) icons - but all the caps I found were bad quality or too dark to work with. Then I thought I'd make some more DW ones - but my muses refused to collaborate. So I picked a random pic of Christina Ricci that I had on my harddrive and signed up for
10variations again, because it's a nice quick challenge for getting back into the swing of iconizing. These are the results:

Feel free to snag. :) Credit is nice, but comments are my crack.
Bonus: I re-did my "What Would Freud Say?" icon, because the old one made me cringe (as do most of my older icons *lol*) but I wanted to have one. Feel free to take, if you want:

(Just for the record: While I agree on some of his theories and his books can be an interesting read, I'm not a big fan of Freud. "WWFS?" is more like a running gag amongst my friends. (And the correct answer, of course, would be: "Penis envy, hysteria, castration anxiety, Oedipus."))

Date: 2006-03-08 12:57 pm (UTC)Hm, yeah. (You are aware that the "Tell me about your mother" is a quote from Bill and Ted, right?) But WWFS? fits for more occasions than "Tell me about your mother", which is why I chose that text.

Date: 2006-03-09 10:21 am (UTC)The composition on #1 is absolutely amazing, #3 has the most beautiful coloring ever and #s 6 and 8 are just absolutely perfect (great cropping, coloring, texture-use...).
Oh, and I also love the Freud one too!
It still sucks, but at least I tried! :-)

I feel your pain. There's nothing more traumatic for an iconmaker than going back and looking at our old ones. :P

I'm not really happy with the result of that one. It looked so awesome in my head, but I don't think it works as an icon. :-/

Seriously! When I was cleaning up some of my files earlier this week I came across all the season 2 icons I used to make and I couldn't believe I used to be so proud of those. *cringes* The wrong aspect ratio! The dark- and blurriness! The ugly fonts! Everybody has to start somewhere, I guess, but those are definitely a shame. :))

Date: 2006-03-09 08:30 am (UTC)And oh Freud. I'm still partial to Bill and Ted's Freud, but... well, for the sake of growth and all... I guess this one's pretty great as well.
